Information Meeting – September 25, 2014
The 2016 MLA/CHLA/ABSC/ICLC Joint Conference will be held in Toronto May 13-18, 2016. Members of the planning committee will be visiting Toronto this September. The Local Arrangements Committee (or LAC) is an important part of a successful conference and is made up of 6 subcommittees: Publicity and Promotion; Restaurant Guide Production; Library Tours; Blog/Facebook Correspondent; Hospitality Information Booth and Volunteer Assistance. Sub-committee Chairs must be either CHLA or MLA members but other volunteers, while encouraged to have memberships, are not required to.
If you are interested in joining the LAC, you are invited to a meeting with members of the planning committee on September 25, 2014. The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. and includes breakfast. It will continue with a tour of the convention centre, and then move on to a discussion about the committee responsibilities. Lunch will be served and the meeting should be over by 2 p.m.
