Iveta Lewis
Iveta Lewis has made significant strides in the library, archives and records management field, particularly within health sciences. Her journey began at Westminster City Archives in the U.K., and she has since accumulated diverse experiences, including roles at the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto and as a solo librarian at North York General Hospital. Her impact is particularly notable in her work with the 519 Community Centre in Toronto, where she established a children’s library, and her various leadership roles, including serving on the Health Sciences Information Consortium Management Board, as a board councilor for the Ontario Health Library and Information Association, and most currently as a library / archives manager at the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. Currently, she is a VP for the Toronto Health Library Association and has recently joined the CHLA Standards Committee. Iveta’s dedication to literature searches and her recognition with the Joan Leishmann Award of Merit in 2023 highlight her commitment and contributions to the industry.
