This year’s guest speaker is award winning science journalist Dan Falk, who will be speaking about his new book The Science of Shakespeare Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the event.

The THLA needs a new President-Elect. This is a great opportunity to meet fellow librarians and help plan activities that include social events and CE credits. Although a three year commitment is required you can be a part of a growing organization of health librarians in Toronto. Come lend us your talents and be a leader in your field.
You can nominate yourself or a colleague (written consent of the nominee is required) and include the names and contact information of two THLA members.

In 2016 Toronto will host the joint conference of the Medical Libraries Association and the Canadian Health Libraries Association/Association des bibliotheques de la santé du Canada.
The Publicity and Promotion Subcommittee of the Local Assistance Committee needs to get up and running soon!

This free one-day online conference is aimed at librarians from small libraries; the smaller the better. Small libraries of all types – public, academic, school, museum, special, etc. – are encouraged to submit a proposal.
SLA Toronto Chapter, the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Information Alumni Association (FIAA), Toronto Health Libraries Association (THLA) and Ontario Library Association Special Libraries Committee (OLA-SLC) cordially invite you to this year’s Joint Holiday Social.
This event is being held at the Arts and Letters Club located at 14 Elm Street (just north of Dundas Street subway station on Yonge St.) @ 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
