It can sometimes feel challenging, though, to account for all the ways in which learners\u2019 brains work differently. If there are as many minds as there are people, is it even possible to \u201cget it right\u201d? In this hands-on workshop, we will explore some essential things to keep in mind when teaching towards learner complexity and neurodiversity. Using your own \u2018sticky\u2019 teaching practices as a jumping off point, we will explore how these practices might be received by different kinds of learners. We will then brainstorm how to make these practices more accessible for neurodivergent learners without leaving your own needs behind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n By the end of this workshop, you will:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 1. Be familiar with a Universal Design for Learning framework of education and acquainted with useful UDL resources to support your facilitation practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2. Understand how to approach facilitating towards neurodiversity as a “life-long learner” with needs of your own, rather than as a perfectionist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 3.
