{"id":2781,"date":"2018-08-30T06:33:11","date_gmt":"2018-08-30T10:33:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thla.chla-absc.ca\/?p=2781"},"modified":"2018-08-30T06:33:11","modified_gmt":"2018-08-30T10:33:11","slug":"unyoc-2018-annual-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thla.chla-absc.ca\/?p=2781","title":{"rendered":"UNYOC 2018 Annual Meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Please consider submitting a presentation proposal for the UNYOC 2018 Annual Meeting!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our meeting will take place in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, November 14-16, 2018. \u00a0This year\u2019s theme is\u00a0<strong><em>Crossing Borders, Breaking Boundaries.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Presenters will receive a reduced registration rate of $50 (CAD or USD) for the full conference \u2013 a 50% discount from the regular member package price! <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are accepting submissions for member presentations, posters, and lightning talks <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/forms\/LhjwIw7mY3pEjff52\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>. This is a great opportunity to present before a friendly group. Please consider submitting an abstract.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Member Presentations <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you have recently completed a research project or created a new program or service, think about submitting a Member Presentation proposal. \u00a0Ongoing projects are welcome too! Considering this year\u2019s theme of \u201cCrossing Borders, Breaking Boundaries,\u201d possible topics of interest may include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaboration with other health sciences professions<\/li>\n<li>Ideas and services that are not typically created or offered by librarians<\/li>\n<li>Incorporating emerging technologies into library programs and services<\/li>\n<li>New ways to conduct library advocacy<\/li>\n<li>Changes in program design<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Posters <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Posters will be on display throughout the day, Friday, November 16<sup>th<\/sup>. \u00a0Authors will have the opportunity to discuss their research and\/or projects for approximately 45 minutes on Friday morning.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lightning Talks <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These 5 minute presentations are the perfect opportunity to share new ideas, projects, services, or research updates. \u00a0Presenters are limited to 3 to 5 slides. \u00a0Please consider submitting to this quick, easy, and fun category today!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Presentations from our members are what makes our annual meeting a success, so please consider submitting a proposal.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Thank you, and we look forward to hearing from you at UNYOC 2018!<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Please consider submitting a presentation proposal for the UNYOC 2018 Annual Meeting!
