On behalf of the THLA Executive Team, we are excited to invite you to an upcoming event about how AI is transforming library services! The Librarian’s AI Survival Guide Workshop, is taking place on October 21st, 2026 from 12 PM – 1:30 PM (EST) on MS Teams (invitation to be sent out shortly!). Learn practical prompt engineering, key Canadian copyright and privacy considerations, critical evaluation techniques, and how libraries can lead safe, responsible AI adoption.
Susan Smith is leading the workshop, and she is the Knowledge & Library Manager at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MCHFT). Her work has included supporting the development of a PG Cert in Clinical Data Science with University of Manchester, and the creation of a digital & data framework for librarians.
We’re so excited to have her present this workshop, and are looking forward to seeing everyone there!
